JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff – Cut Off Marks, Colleges

JEE Advanced 2014 Cut Off will be announced after the admissions in all the colleges have been completed and will be made available after every round of admission. As soon as the cutoffs for every round are declared, it will be made available for all the exam takers.

Every year the Governing Bodies of Joint Entrance Examination Board decide the minimum score which must be obtained in entrance exam by any exam participant in order to qualify the exam and to become eligible for admission process.

This score is called as JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff and will be arrived at after considering various factors such as number of candidates, annual intake of students, difficulty level of questions in exam and admission cutoffs for last years.

Ranks secured by a candidate corresponding to JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff will be called as cutoff rank and will be the last rank in final merit list.

Also, the JEE Advanced 2014 Opening and Closing Ranks for various courses in all the colleges will be  will be released after the completion of each admission round. Till there is NO major change in the exam pattern and syllabus the cutoffs for various years remain approximately same. Hence the candidates can refer to last year’s cutoffs to assess their admission probability. And as soon as the JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff is declared, it will be hosted HERE for all the candidates.

Procedure to generate JEE Advanced 2014 Cut off:

  • Only the exam takers of both JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be considered for cutoff generation who have taken both the JEE Main as well as JEE Advanced.
  • The marks obtained by a candidate in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be summed up to generate the aggregate marks.
  • There will be separate merit lists for the candidates of NCL – OBC, ST and SC. JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff Marks for them are as follows:

NCL – OBC: 9% in each subject and 31.5% aggregate

SC and ST: 5% in each subject and 17.5%  aggregate

  • Merit Lists for Candidates with Physical Disability:

PD Candidates of OBC (NCL), ST, GEN and SC categories will have a separate merit list. JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff for these candidates will be 17% in aggregate and 5% in each subject.

  • Merit list for Preparatory Course:

If the number of candidates in the merit lists of SC/ST/PD is lesser than 1.4 times the total number of seats for each category, the authorities will generate separate merit lists in for the Preparatory Course..

The JEE Advanced 2014 Cutoff for this list will be 2.5% in each subject and 8.75% in aggregate.
